Did you know I write a monthly Floral Notes Newsletter?

Another week and another blog. It must be January, when this florist is spending more time than usual indoors, getting her ducks in a row. I sent my newsletter out today; I’m really enjoying the monthly ritual of writing it.
First, I choose a flower of the month – something seasonal that has caught my attention. I’m becoming more and more interested in the language of flowers, and how blooms have been chosen to mean things, rather than just being the first bunch that catches your eye as you walk into the supermarket.
Sitting down, tea in hand, writing my newsletter adds structure to my communications too. Obviously, my most loyal supporters - my subscribers - are the first to know about upcoming workshops, like the Spring Wreath & Flowers retreat afternoon I’ve just booked at Damson Hill Cottage. I’ve been there a few times now for networking events with Flo’s Circle and I just love the vibe so much.
Nestled amongst the woodland is a studio space, a Caravan Café, and a Little Red Sauna – all beautifully crafted and creating a creative, welcoming space. I can’t wait to get back there in the Spring, when the trees reach their peak zingy green colours.
I’ve been reading lots about colour lately too. Always keen to find inspiration, I’m love reading, and this month it’s been lots of magazines and books. I mentioned these in the newsletter as well. Would you like to read it? It’s easy to sign up here.
With love, Sarah x
P.S. Did I mention my newsletter... P.P.S. Yes, I am making Valentine’s Day flowers this year. If you'd like like bespoke artisan flowers handmade in Wickham, just email me and I’ll send an easy order link before my new shop page launches soon. Please help me spread the word to your significant others 💐
